Finally, I've finished editing the second episode of Creative Journeys! In this episode, I talk with Dave Stone-Robb, who is actually the spouse of Stephanie Stone-Robb - the guest on the first episode of the podcast! Dave grew up as a military child and found performance helped him in many ways. We discuss how he utilized it to help him through difficult times and how his creative practice has changed over time. We even talk about his hopes for his creative practice after his upcoming move to Portugal!
Show Notes:
In this podcast episode, I interview Dave Stone-Robb, a multifaceted performer involved in theater direction, acting, and drag performance. Dave shares his early creative experiences as a military child, his journey into theater starting from high school, and the role of music and performance in his mental health. He details his amateur journey in drag, partly influenced by the rise of RuPaul's Drag Race, and his processes in performance art. We discuss the significant impacts of creative practice on mental wellness, community-building, and personal growth. The conversation is rich with insights on how creativity can serve as a coping mechanism and a vital part of one's identity and well-being.
