Paint Pens

Today we are talking about paint pens. They are good for adding color.  A good paint pen will cover other media such as watercolor and acrylic paint.  They will also write on a variety of surfaces. Grabie pens are less expensive, but they occasionally splatter paint – at least the fine tip ones I have do.  They are great for adding detail.  You can buy a variety of colors and different sizes as well.

Posca paint pens are my favorite paint pens.  I have used them on paintings, in journals, and even on murals! They are more expensive but you can buy sets or 1 at a time.  They come a large variety of sizes and colors.
