New to urban sketching? This is the perfect class for you. Kick off your urban sketching journey with playful exercises that help you loosen up and truly see your surroundings. In this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll explore blind contour and continuous line drawing to build observation skills and quiet your inner critic. You’ll learn how to choose a scene, frame your sketch, and dive into drawing without fear. No experience required! Includes time to create your own on-location sketches. Supplies needed: - Sketchbook (for this first class, you don't need a special sketchbook - you can use whatever you have) - Pencil & Eraser - Waterproof Fine Liner Pen (such as Uni Pen, Micron, Etc.) - Clip to hold your pages in case it is windy! - A lightweight folding stool, camping chair, or cushion to sit on - Waterbottle, hat, sunscreen - OPTIONAL: Any markers/colored pencils, or watercolors you already own and want to bring along. If you bring watercolors, bring a water brush with water and a paper towel. This form is a reservation to hold your spot. If we get 3 people, the event will "make" and I can send you an invoice to pay for your spot. If we do not get 3 people, the class will not happen. Location of the class will be provided once you pay for your place!
